The TeamSonia Bestulic is the principal Speech and Language Pathologist possessing a varied Speech and Language Pathology background including; working in an education support context; as a clinical educator/ supervising Speech Pathologist at the University of Sydney; in hospital and community health settings in New South Wales, the National Health Service in the UK and private practice. Sonia is very passionate about early intervention; delivering speech and language screenings to childcare and preschool settings, to ensure timely identification of any speech, language and learning difficulties. Galia Aron is a well experienced and established Speech Pathologist who specialises in the paediatric and adolescent population. She has contributed her research skills and findings in speech pathology publications and has a passionate clinical interest in stuttering, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is competent in implementing Hanen and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) principles, and has extended her knowledge to using a Sensory Processing Approach to Challenges Associated with Autism, ADHD, Learning and Behavioural Differences. Galia is also skilled in the management of Pre-literacy/ Literacy skills with formal training in the Spalding method. Her clinical strengths also include; management of Articulation/ Phonology Disorders; Language stimulation and development and Learning Difficulties. Galia’s solid clinical experience ensures a high quality service, as she works to a family focus in setting and achieving communication/ learning goals. Emlyn Walker is an experienced and dynamic speech pathologist who specialises in working with children and adolescents. Emlyn holds a wealth of knowledge and expertise from international speech pathology roles, and is a dedicated Speech Pathologist using principles of; 'Hanen - It Takes Two to Talk', 'DIR Floortime' and 'PECS' (Picture Exchange Communication System). Emlyn has a special interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and is most competent in supporting early Speech and Language Development . Emlyn's skills also extend to diagnosis and management of literacy/ learning difficulties and has formal training in the Spalding method. Overall, she is a highly enthusiastic and motivating Speech Pathologist who consistently achieves therapy goals and success, by working closely with children and their families. Zainab Beydoun (Hosain) is an experienced and passionate clinician who has worked across a range of public and private settings, as well as within the education sector. Zainab's own parenting experience enhances her knowledge, skills and understanding of pre-school and school age language. She possesses in depth knowledge across a range of adolescent and adult speech and language impairments. Zainab holds strong skills in the assessment and management of literacy/learning difficulties, and has gone on to formally complete SPALDING training, stages 1 & 2 (with Spalding Education Australia). Her clinical experience also includes working with children with autism spectrum disorder to address social communication skills; early language and play development. She has successfully completed a range of accredited programs such as Hanen, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and has completed AUSLAN training. Zainab is committed to her clients and offers intervention strategies that are practical and effective with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for both the client and their family. Olwen Morgen has worked as a paediatric specialist Speech Pathologist for nearly 25 years in public service and private practice in Africa, Europe and, more recently, Australia. Olwen’s specialist areas include working with: • parents, carers and other professionals to develop skills to support children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties and literacy difficulties; • children with speech sound disorders, particularly those with oral and speech motor difficulties • children with specific language impairments and literacy difficulties. • children across the age range in different settings, e.g. at home, in pre-school, primary and secondary school settings Olwen has extensive experience working with children with a range of disabilities, including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Down’s Syndrome, Physical Disabilities and Hearing Impairment. She has specialist skills in Parent/Carer-Child Interaction Therapy, Non-directive Communication Therapy, Suck Swallow Breathe Synchrony Therapy and is trained to deliver the Hanen Program – It Takes Two to Talk.
