What we do

We are professionally trained to diagnose and treat people with a variety of communication difficulties which may have arisen from problems with understanding and using language, speech, reading, writing, voice or hearing.

The team consists of experienced speech pathologists with strong clinical skills in managing a wide range of communication difficulties. All the Talking Heads Speech Pathologists keep abreast of current research, ensuring evidence based practice that is both innovative and creative.

All Talking Heads Speech Pathologists are passionate about taking a holistic and individualised approach to maximise each client's speech, language, literacy, social and learning potential.

The clinic provides speech pathology services for both children and adults.

Our in house Occupational Therapist provides treatment programs to children/ adolescents for;

• Daily living tasks (eating, grooming, personal care, special equipment)

• Achieving developmental milestones

• Gross motor skills (clumsy, balance)

• Sensory integration, sensory sensitivity/seeking

• Thinking, planning, attention

• Handwriting (pencil grip, letter formation, speed)

• Fine motor skills (sensory skills, doing up buttons, zips, shoe laces)

• Switch activated toys, environmental control units, computer access.

• School readiness

• Autism
